Don't Delay-EN

Read: Haggai 1:1-11

This people say: Now the time has not yet come to rebuild the house of God! (Haggai 1:2)

A friend recounted his experience in seminary. He undertakes a duty to offer mentor. However, until the time that he had promised himself, he has not touched the task. And he was also postponed until some time. Whenever asked, he always quibble. Finally, one day, the supervisor took him to the park seminary. There, he was forced to kneel in front of the statue of Jesus crucified. The supervisor said, "Please explain why you Delay Lord Jesus!" Since then, he never postpone all appointments and tasks.

Procrastination is a problem that affects people of Judah. As God's chosen people, they should rebuild the temple that had been destroyed by the Babylonians because the temple was the place and the representation of the glory of God (v. 8). However, sixteen years have passed since they returned from exile to the city of Jerusalem, and they have not indicated their intention to build it. They keep putting it off (v. 2). Ironically, they are rushing to build their own houses, while the temple was left abandoned. God was rebuked them through Haggai.

Procrastinator important thing is a bad habit. God's children are responsible do their job without stalling. Indeed, the delay is an attitude that does not respect God and others. Whether you're delaying a task? Do not put it off again, and finish the task immediately.

DELAY often even ENDED
ON THE TASK IS NOT TREATED
